Aubrey O’Day, an American singer/songwriter, has recently been at the center of a controversy after social media speculated that she had been photoshopping her content.
O’Day poses in exotic locations around the world in photos of the former Danity Kane member living abroad. Almost all of the images were taken in Bali, Indonesia, according to O’Day’s geotags, but social media users aren’t buying it.
Aubrey O’Day is a $4 million dollar net worth American singer/songwriter, actress, and fashion designer. She is a member of the group Danity Kane (twice) (fired in 2008 and reconciled in 2013). O’Day has appeared in magazines such as Blender and Playboy, as well as on Broadway in the production Hairspray.

Aubrey Morgan O’Day was born in San Francisco, California on February 11, 1984, and began performing at the age of five. When she was four years old, she began crying during a performance of “The Nutcracker.” When her mother asked what was wrong, O’Day replied, “I’m sad that I’m sitting here and not up on stage.”
Aubrey played the lead in several musicals as a child, including “The Sound of Music,” “The Wizard of Oz,” “Fiddler on the Roof,” and “Rent.” She graduated from UC Irvine with a degree in political science after attending La Quinta High School.
In 2004, O’Day became a breakout star on MTV’s competitive reality show “Making the Band 3.” O’Day was the first member of the girl group Danity Kane to be chosen from the show. Their first album was released in August 2006 and debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart. Dainty Kane performed as an opener for Christina Aguilera and the Pussycat Dolls.
O’Day was fired from Danity Kane in October 2008, much to the chagrin of the band’s and O’Day’s fans. Sean Combs released her from her record label, Bad Boy Records, in April 2009. That summer, she began playing Amber Von Tussle in the Broadway production of “Hairspray.” In 2009, O’Day starred in the comedy American High School. In 2010, she got her own reality show, “All About Aubrey,” which debuted on the Oxygen Network. She signed a solo record deal with SRC/Universal Motown Records in 2011. On April 12, 2011, her debut single “Automatic” was released. It reached the top 20 on the iTunes pop chart in less than two hours.
She was ‘fired’ from Donald Trump’s The Celebrity Apprentice 5 in 2012, during which she was also heavily (and publicly) criticized for being “narcissistic, self-centered, evil, and vicious.” Later that year, she released “Wrecking Ball,” a new single that sold 3,000 downloads in its first week. In September 2012, she released a video for the song on Vevo. In 2012, O’Day began recording her debut solo EP, which included three new songs: “Love Me When You Leave,” “Let Me Lay,” and “Before I Drown.” Her singles “Automatic” and “Before I Drown” were performed at the Chicago Pride Festival and on the CW’s TV show “Oh Sit!”
On August 13, 2013, iTunes released “Between Two Evils.” On pre-order sales, it topped the iTunes US Dance Chart and reached #5 on the iTunes US Pop Chart. Danity Kane briefly reformed, including O’Day, and released their third and final album “DK3” before breaking up again. O’Day returned to reality television in August 2016, when she appeared in the 18th season of the UK’s “Celebrity Big Brother.” She came in fifth place. O’Day released a single titled “Body Love High” in July 2021.
O’Day has volunteered at refugee centers and orphanages and has worked with several charitable organizations in various countries involving children living with AIDS. She also volunteers for The Pink Project, and RAINN, and helped Hurricane Katrina victims financially. She voted for Barack Obama for President in 2008 and is an advocate for LGBTQ rights.
O’Day has been romantically linked to New York disc jockey DJ Cassidy, and her appearance at a public event with a ‘girlfriend’ sparked rumors of bisexuality. When Chelsea Handler asked if she was bisexual in a 2009 interview on Chelsea Lately, she replied, “In general, I dislike labeling myself… I want to find someone I’m interested in, and I don’t want to limit myself to a specific demographic.”
O’Day has appeared on Maxim’s Hot 100 List and Blender’s 100 Hottest People List in addition to her music career. She was the face of the clothing line Famous Stars and Straps and appeared in the music video for Estelle’s song “Pretty Please.”
O’Day launched her own clothing line, Heart on My Sleeve, in 2008, and posed topless for Complex in November of that year. In late 2008, O’Day appeared as a guest on the reality show “50 Cent: The Money and the Power.” She has also appeared on the covers of numerous magazines, including Playboy in March 2009, GQ, In Touch Weekly, and Us Weekly, as well as Palm Springs Life, Dub, Envy, King, Right On, Image, and Jadore. O’Day appeared as a guest judge on season five of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” in 2013.
